Events

Throughout the year the garden hosts a variety of events for members of the garden and the broader community:

Annual Plant Sale Fundraiser

Trinity Episcopal Church
205 East Montezuma Ave.
Houghton, MI

The annual plant sale, always on the Saturday before Memorial Day in May, is our only fundraiser and we depend on community support!

Every year we offer a great selection of locally grown, hardy plants including vegetables, herbs, sun and shade perennials, annual flowers, berries, houseplants, and ground covers.  Experienced gardeners will be on hand to offer advice and answer questions.

We rely on donations from local gardeners to stock the sale.  Dividing your perennials? Started too many tomatoes? Contact us to find out about how to donate plants or volunteer.

Spring Seed Swap

Harvest 2014

Gardeners gather, usually in February, to share seeds, socialize, and get excited about the upcoming season. Follow our Facebook page for updates on this event.

U.P. Gardening Classes

Learn from our 20+ years of UP gardening expertise! Gardening classes run on and off throughout the spring and summer with a variety of subjects. Click the linked title above to register and for more information.

Other Events

The garden hosts a number of additional events such as garden tours, gardening lessons, educational opportunities for local schools, and volunteer work days.
